Hello, love!
I was going to do a Valentine’s Day look but I felt like I wanted to make this post a little more than a Valentine’s Day dress up guide, instead I decided to talk about how to wear red.
Basically I’m going to share with you what colors go well with Red. If you’re planning to wear Red for a special event or just chilling at home in style, keep on reading.
Besides black, white, and red on red, this bright and bold color is also well paired with other colors. Depending on your personality, mood and message you want to send out through your outfit, I’m picked 5 more colors to share with you in this post. Including pink, yellow, green, blue, and orange.
Red alone can represent passion, desire, heat, romance, danger, intense, stress, action, and determination. When pairing it with other colors, it can change the mood of your entire look and feel.
Red and Pink
Wearing red and pink can possibly make the bold look feels softer. Since pink has a sweet and feminine affect, it will make you look more approachable, playful and charming when you pair these two colors together.
Red and Yellow
When pairing red and yellow, it will give you more excitement. They’re a perfect pair for happiness, positivity and enlightenment. If you decide to pair red with yellow on your next outfit, you might find yourself feeling more confident than usual. Because the color yellow helps encourage communication and build confidence.
Red and Green
Thinking about Christmas, how do you feel during that magical time of the year? Excited and full with joy, right? These two colors can bring you hope, joy and excitement. When wearing the color green, the color of energy, harmony and freshness with the color red, it can create calmness and relaxation.
Red and Blue
Blue can give you feelings of calm, freedom, imagination, inspiration, trust, loyalty, wisdom, and confidence. Wearing blue with red can be overwhelming at times if you pick the wrong shades. Try adding softer shades of blue when wearing red, this will create a lively look. Picking deeper and darker blue shades like midnight blue will make for a more sophisticated look.
Red and Orange
One of the reasons why I paired red and orange together is because Orange is the combination of red and yellow, they’re family. They look very similar but yet unique, powerful and fascinating next to each other. Orange represents enthusiasm, happiness, creativity, determination, and attraction. While red represents strength, power, passion, desire, and love. They will be a strong pair that will gain a lot of attention when pairing them together.
You should now have a few ideas to play with your red outfit next time when you’re planing to wear this bold color.
Feel free to let me know below which color combo is your favorite! I pretty much love all of them but I think I’m going to try the red on orange soon. 🙂
In conclusion, it doesn’t have to be pink, yellow, green, blue or orange. The best way to pick the right color is to pair red with the color that you feel most comfortable to wear with. There is no point of wearing something that will decrease your confidence and won’t let you have fun with it.
You can keep it classy by wearing a black dress with red heels or just putting on a red lipstick. Or you can go all out red all the way from top to bottom. The ultimate goal here is to wear YOU.
