Last Minute Holiday Outfit Ideas
Red is always a good pop of color for the holiday season. If you don’t know what to wear for your holiday party, picking red is always a good idea. In today’s post, we took this photoshoot during our Japan trip. Our family decided to visit Harajuku and I heard about this famous street since I was 13 years old. I was quite excited to finally to go see. But the shoot was not at Harajuku though, it’s right after we took the metro at Omotesando subway station. We walked along the high-end street where Gucci, Prada, Chanel and other name brands you could think of are located. It was early in morning so there weren’t a lot of people walking around.
I was 27 weeks pregnant at that time and it was hilarious to dress up, walked along the road and then had Braxton Hicks contractions at the same time.
My husband and I were planning to get a channel card case for me, as a reminder that we visited Japan and as my Anniversary present. But as I did a some research about the price, here was not such a good place to buy high-end items. The prices are a lot higher than in the States.
Overall I had so much fun taking picture along the way walking to my dream shopping street, Harajuku. I just had to work before I could start shopping! 🙂
What I am wearing in this post is this red ballon sleeve knit sweater from Forever 21, my red leopard cami dress is from Nasty Gal and my red Vince Camuto suede mules are from Sole Society. Here are the similar halfmoon sunglasses and faux fur top handle bag.
These are a few of my photos in Harajuku Street!
Day One of #GOODVIBESGIFTING
Get to know me: To think about one of grateful thing that happen to me in my life, I would have to bring up this story to share with you. I grew up in a family of a single mother. My mother worked 7 days a week as a teacher and tutor until the day she retired. She really never had a day off, maybe during Thai New Year and that was about 3 days a year, that was the time she didn’t have to work. She barely made it through each month to support here kids which included my brother, my sister and myself.
Sometimes we barely had enough money to just buy some eggs and share for dinner. Strange thing was that I never acted or felt like I didn’t have enough. Because in my heart I always knew that I have my mother, my brother and my sister. My family is all I need.
All of the hardship our family went through since I was little, had made me feel so strong, and so grateful to have the life I live today. I never give up on my dream, I never stoped dreaming, neither stoped learning.
This might sound funny, but I am so happy that my life wasn’t as smooth as others. One thing that helped me keep going when it came to some hard time, is to compare my bad situations, to what my mother had to go through to help support our family, which were (will be) incomparable.
In conclusion, I am so very grateful that I was born in a family that cherish love and support, not money or objects. I grew up with love, understanding and my my siblings and I never envy others’ lives. I’m loving my life and who I am now as much as my life and who I was then.
Question for you today: Share with us, what is one grateful thing about yourself?
I’m looking forward to reading your stories. Don’t forget to stop by my Instagram and answer a fun question there too! Also don’t forget to use #GoodVibesGifting at the end of the your comment so I know you are participating in this contest.

xoxo,
I am grateful I survived a violent, scary childhood. I am grateful I made a pledge to not be bitter, to learn and grow from all the hardships, and to appreciate the better times. I love being an adult and having the freedoms and safety of walking away from any danger. I love that I am a parent that chooses to treat and love my children as I was not. To make that difference. I am grateful for my life and my survival. #GoodVibesGifting
I’m glad that you’re now passed those hardships in your life and are now raising your beautiful children your way. Thank you for sharing.
Im grateful for my sense of independence. MOVING from small towns to HUGE cities alone, i love it. I am happy to know that i can do it all solo.
#goodvibesgifting
That’s amazing! It must have been tough at first but I’m glad you’re loving it!
I’m grateful that I enjoy good health. too many of my friends and family don’t, so I don’t take it for granted. #GoodVibesGifting
I agree! Your wealth is nothing without your health.
Red makes me happy #GoodVibesGifting
I love red too! 🙂
I am grateful I survived being a survivor of suicide. I lost my husband very tragically in 2004, 5 weeks after he returned from A Year in Iraq. There were days I couldn’t get out of bed. And other days I wanted to be dead. It Took a whole lot of counseling and support from some stronger friends and family who put up with all the HURT, anger and lashing out. They HELD together the pieces of me. And I’m so glad to still be here. #GoodVibesGifting
Thank you so much for sharing that tragic story with us. It’s never easy to loose a loved one especially your significant other. I’m glad to hear you have such an amazing support system around you that help you get through such a difficult time. Keep staying positive, we’re all here for you.
I’m grateful that I was raised by a Single Mom, too. I learned to work for what I wanted and put myself through school. I’m super proud of that and I know I appreciate all that I have because of this! #GOODVIBESGIFTING
Yes, growing up with a single parent might be tough at times but it makes you who you are today. You really should be proud.
I was also raised by a single mom. I’m grateful that I had to work and put myself through school. I’m really proud of my accomplishments and appreciate all that I’ve earned. #GOODVIBESGIFTING
I am so grateful for my crazy life with my 4 kids! I think I would be bored otherwise! #goodvibesgifting
Life with kids can never get boring! 🙂
I am very grateful for being born into this world by a beautiful angel I often call mom. And I’m also very grateful for having tireless heroes like my father. I am very grateful for having a brother and sister who loves me very much. I am very grateful to have a friend to confide in about anything. Their presence helped me a lot in living this hard life. I don’t have any experience, because I’m still a student. One experience I’ve experienced was bully. But, in the presence of all of them I was no longer afraid of bullying. They made me realize that we must be grateful for whatever we have. Therefore, I always give thanks when I pray that God always gives me unexpected things but makes me happy. Live, enjoy, face and be grateful for this life.
You really seem to have a grateful mindset at such a young age. Keep that attitude with you throughout life and help pass it along to others.
I am grateful that i continue to Have a positive outlook in all that i do. It has helped keep me sane when told we would be out of a job at the end of the year but luckily we were hired by the company coming in. i would rather be a Pollyanna then a debbie downer. #goodvibesgifting

I am grateful myself getting challenges with a new life in the U.S. It was very difficult for most of stuffs. Being a leaner will always turn things around to a good way.

#GoodVibesGifting. 8 years ago i had a brain enuryism and i had to be flown to the hospital that would have been 3 hours by car. I had surgery as soon as i arrived. After surgery i was in the hospital 1 month. In ICU. It was slow going recovering my memory. My husband had to do all the shopping, cooking, bills and driving. I would forget what day of the week it was. But i am grateful i lived
You seem like such a strong person. Your husband must be grateful to have you in his life.
I’m grateful for my family. #GoodVibesGifting
Me too! 🙂
I am grateful for the birth of my daughter, I found out years later that I had a tumor/cyst on my pituitary gland. I wasn’t producing hormones and had this since puberty but never knew and it just kept growing all those years. I realized then how lucky I was to have even gotten pregnant, ALso i didn’t produce breast milk and never knew why. As much as I have always loved her, with the news I found out, I realized how much of a miracle she really was and appreciated her even MORE. #GoodVibesGifting
What a true miracle that was to have your daughter and found out about your health issue. I wish you and your family good health and happiness.
I am grateful to be able to go through the hard thing in life, to be able to grow by experiences and always believing in Good things of wHat make life beautiful.

I am grateful to be alive to be with my husband and beautiful daughter. In 2014, on my way to driving my daughter to school, we were hit by a distracted driver. My neck and back were severely injured. Despite Orthopedic treatment, I live with the pain and partial muscle loss of my right side everyday. I am grateful that my daughter and I are here today, right now to celebrate Christmas together. Happy holidays to everyone and remember to hold the ones you love
close. #GoodVibesGifting
Thank you for sharing. That’s so true that you need to hold your loved ones close. I’m sorry to hear about your accident. Wishing you and your family a Merry Christmas.
while i might not have a childhood of hardship exactly or great stories of survival, i just wanted to comment here today as to how grateful i am for my family and friends and their support. one story would be how me and my boyfriend who are of various religious backgrounds were not encouraged to be together by everyone in our neighborhood(since we are hindu and muslim) . but my parents though they were reluctant at firsy learnt to accept him into the folds of our family and now we are engaged!!! :”) i;m just thankful and grateful for my parents for understanding me and think for my happiness rather than succumb to societies narrow minded ideas.cheers!! merry christmas and happy holidays <3 #Goodvibesgifting
Congratulations on your engagement! When’s the wedding? I know society put pressure on what’s expected as normal in our lives. Glad that your parents are able to understand and want nothing more than your happiness.
I’m very grateful that I have been blessed with two children! Too many people, including dear friends of ours, are having problems conceiving. I’m very very thankful. #GoodVibesGifting
Me too! Not everyone is lucky enough to carry their own children.
I am grateful for my healthy, growing family. I don’t have kids of my own, but have several nieces and nephews who i love spending time with. I’m grateful we will all be together for the holidays.#goodvibesgifting

I am very grateful for my family. I feel very lucky to have a strong support system that let me pursue my passion in the arts. We have grown even closer after my mom passed away. The bond between us is so strong. I am so grateful that i have a younger brother that teaches me what it is like to be responsible and a good role model. #GoodVibesgifting
I am sorry about your loss. Family is always there in times of need. Your family must be proud of you.
To be honest I’m grateful for everything. I guess when my dad passed away I didn’t realize or maybe took for granted that he would always be there so now I’m grateful for life, for family and most of all for freedom! #GoodVibesGifting
Sorry for your loss. It’s good to be grateful for everything in life.
I am grateful and proud to be a survivor. I was molested as a child and raped when I was in my twenties. I am finally learning to cope with these things at the ripe old age of 59. I have learned these things do not define me and it’s never too late to start anew. #GoodVibesGifting
Sorry for your traumatic experiences. It’s never too late to start new. Hope you have the best new year yet.
I am grateful for my husband who is supportive and for my kids who are the best! #goodvibesgifting
Cheers to your husband and kids!
I am grateful for my patience. Maybe being deaf has taught me that, but I love that i can listen to my children and even my mom and help them out and be grateful that i can help them! #GoodVibesGifting
Nothing in life comes easy, there’s a lot of patience and hard work involve. Glad that you have that ability.
I am grateful to be at this time in my life where I can do pretty much what I want. I’m retired and am more active physically than I’ve ever been. Plus, i have a super husband, who is my very best friend! #GoodVibesGifting

I am grateful that I had parents that taught me the value of family. #GoodVibesGifting
That’s the best value you can learn! 🙂
I am grateful for my natural instinct to nurture. Growing up, I didn’t have the easiest childhood or the most loving parents and I made the decision when my husband and I chose to have kids to give them the opposite of that. I feel like nurturing my children and showering them with love comes easily to me and I’m grateful for that. #goodvibesgifting
That’s wonderful. Giving all the love that you can to your children is such an amazing feeling.
I’m grateful for the hard lessons my mother taught me. they helped me be a much better parent. #GoodVibesGifting
It’s sometimes the hardest lessons you learn that stick with you the longest.
I am GRATEFUL for my good health and my caring family my 3 kids and loving husband who is always supports me and encourage me to live life fullest in any situation. #GoodVibesGifting
The other day i started across our busy road to get the mail from our mailbox. I saw a truck coming so i tried to hurry on across. I fell and couldn’t get up. I pulled myself off the road to the side of the road. The People in the truck saw me fall and stopped while i pulled myself off the road. They asked if i was ok. I used my purse to push myself up off the shoulder of the road. I had scrapes on my hands, elbows and a large bruise on my hip but i could have been run over. I am grateful i didn’t break anything.
