Hi love!
It’s day three of our #GoodVibesGifting. I don’t know why I didn’t think about connecting with you this way before. It’s so much fun reading through all of your comments. Let’s keep the good vibes going because I am now planing for us to connect more next year.
If you missed my Day 1 and Day 2 posts, feel free to check them out and share your stories there. If you have no idea what we’re doing here, please head to this Day 1 post, read through the rules and let’s get to know each other more!
LAST MINUTE HOLIDAY OUTFIT IDEAS
Is it a good idea to add ruffle detail pieces to your Fall/ Winter closet? Yes, it is! Only one thing you have to look out for is the appropriate fabric for the colder weather. Even though you might have seen a lot of ruffles during Spring/ Summer but there’re no strict rules that you have to wear ruffles only in that time of the year.
What’s so great about ruffles are that it can make your look extra fun, flirty, sweet, feminine and stylish at the same time.
In today’s post, I’m wearing this pastel purple check with ruffle cuffs sweater from Nasty Gal. I really love the color, pattern and the ruffle cuffs but too bad this sweater is already out of stock. I have linked some cute ruffle sweaters for you below in case you’re looking for one.
I’m wearing my sweater over my purple midi dress. My bag is complimentary from Ella McHugh. For shoes, I go for my old leopard print heels in pink, here are the same style heels as mine but they’re in brown. Adding a holiday texture like these pretty burgundy velvet socks to complete my look. I have linked some colorful leopard shoes for you below.
DAY THREE OF #GOODVIBESGIFTING
Get to know me: Are you a perfectionist? I have to say that I used to be 101% perfectionist, now I decrease it to 75% I would say. 🙂 I used to wait for everything to be perfect and ready before I started any project. Or I would wait until my project was completely perfect before I called it finished. Over the years, I have learned that I shouldn’t wait or waste my time before I decide to do something. Time is so valuable and it will pass by so quickly. I felt like I was in my teen years yesterday and today I’m already in my 3o’s. I can’t waste my time anymore. I have to live my life to the fullest and the happiest.
Since I became a mom and having my own family, time goes by even quicker than ever. I know all of you moms out there are feeling the same way as I feel. There are time that I feel stress, tired and want to sit and do nothing, but that means I will waste my time again. Sometimes just to get myself out of the house with no makeup and messy hair was too hard to do. Because I felt like I wasn’t perfect enough to go out. But you know what, who cares? No one really cares and they don’t know what your day was like anyways. So why have that perfectionist fear kept me in the house and loose the opportunity to get a cup of coffee or even just breath in the fresh air.
I started living my life by the “Nobody is Perfect” mentality and my life has been a lot more simple and easy to live. Whatever I want to do, I will do it right away so I don’t miss the opportunity or keep forgetting to do them.
Like starting this blog, I was so afraid to start at first. I thought of so many names, how to design a blog, what I was going to say because English is not my first language. I was thinking and planning to have my blog live for so many months. I published my first blog in Mid June of 2016, almost a year after I gave birth to my first daughter. Just to think about it, I don’t know why I waited for so long to do it. I must have missed a lot of opportunities during those months. Oh, well but I’m here now.
My first blog post didn’t even look good. I didn’t know what I was doing and when I compare that to all of my recent posts, I feel I’m getting a lot better but I still have some room to develop. I know, that the perfectionist is coming back to me again! Lol! 😉 But I have my content out to share with you anyways. I don’t want to miss the time to connect with you and start building our relationship. Who knows, we might meet each other one day! If I wait for everything to be perfect, my blog might have never been on the internet today.
My thought for you today is that time will help you develop your skills, make you feel more comfortable and confident. Life is so simple, don’t make things complicated and overwhelm yourself. Time is valuable, so please don’t let time go by because you want to be ready or to be perfect. You will learn and develop the second you start doing. No, you don’t need to be perfect at the beginning but trust me, you will get better and better and in the end everything will be perfect in your eyes.
Questions for you today: What’s one project (thing) you’re planning to do and never started doing? What’s stopping you? Are you going to do it now? If you decide to wait, why?
I’m looking forward to reading your stories. Don’t forget to stop by my Instagram and answer a fun question there too! Also don’t forget to use #GoodVibesGifting at the end of the your comment so I know you are participating in this contest.
To get a sneak peek on the gifts you might win, watch my InstaStory here.
See you again tomorrow for more stories!
xoxo,
I have many home improvement projects that I want done, but most just seem to be put off, I want to raise the flower bed in the front of the house but it just seems like such a large amount of work #goodvibesgifting
I’m in the process of starting a new blog, but haven’t actually pushed the launch button. I’m doing a lot of reading and procrastinating. I think I need to accept that it doesn’t have to be perfect at first, but I do need to push the publish button. #GoodVibesGifting
I’m doing a photo book, like a coffee table style book. I’ve started and stopped a thousand times just not feeling confident. But I’m taking a trip in March where I plan to finish the photos and by my birthday i want to have it done!!! #GoodVibesGifting
One project that I want to start doing that I just simply had the time for is compiling a family recipe cookbook, to hand down to my girls, I seriously did not have the time when they were younger, but now I have a little more free time and would love to compile recipes from my grandmothers. From some of my aunts and from our gatherings, to some of their favorite things they loved growing up. I think it would be great for them to keep and learn from. #GoodVibesGifting
I really want to start a vegetable GARDEN! Every year I collect things for it and it never gets done. I’d love to start it this spring! #goodvibesgifting
I always wanted to learn how to sew and make quilts and my own clothes but something is stopping me from doing it. Part of the problem is I don’t understand patterns when it comes to knitting or crocheting and I fear I won’t be able to read patterns to quilt or make my own clothes #GOODVIBESGIFTING
i seriously have been thinking about laundry room doors. we removed the ones that were here when we bought the house because they kept getting stuck- and i discovered barn doors! i am tired of not having doors for our huge 72″ opening, so i think i will attempt my own barn doors. #GoodVibesGifting
This is a tough question for me today! I try so hard, there are so many things I want to do, but haven’t. Like you, I suffered bad from perfectionism and didn’t start because of it. But right when I overcame that and started doing things, BAM, I developed a chronic illness. Now trying to recover mostly takes all my energy. I still try every day, but there’s a long way to go! #goodvibesgifting
I always wanted to make my own outfit but I am very mediocre when it comes to sewing and I never made the time to improve my skills. Maybe when I have more free time I’ll practice
I have been wanting to LEArn how to do metalwork jewelry and welding/soldering. I keep putting off taking a class. In 2019, I will be clearing my plate to do more of the things i want to do!! #GOODVIBESGIFTING
I always thought I’d go to college and now I’m too old. I used to regret it but no longer. I had a fabulous career in the travel industry and have been all over the world and if I’d become an accountant like I planned, I would have missed out on a lot of great adventures. #GoodVibesGifting
I want TO go back and finish my degree.I have to stay FOCus and just do it #GOODVIbesGifting
The project that I want to start is an online business… i haven’t started it yet because i still have to save a lot of money for the products that i am going to sell. WE’Re really tough on money right now since i RECENTly gave birth, So i am only able to save a little. i really want to start an online business so me & my husband won’t only rely on his paychecks, i want us to have an extra and that business will help us. I am REALly hoping that by next year, WE’Ll be able to start it already. #Goodvibesgifting
I will tell you of a project i did and am thankful for. I had always wanted a record(book like) of my life. I did it over 30 years ago. I am glad i did because 8 years ago i had a brain enuryism and forgot a lot. If i hadn’t written and typed it i may never have had my story to pass on
I am in the process of creating a beautiful garden. I am hampered by weather conditions in my country (cool for more than half a year). But I think gardening is an infinite process in any case. #GoodVibesGifting
I am a horrible procrastinator – i thiNk because i want everything to be pErfect that i often have trouble getting started and get overwhelmed. It may sound silly, but i really put off cleaning and organizing my house. There is just always somethiNg more Urgent to do, howEver, this is the year i’m finally Going to tackle it! #goodvibesgifting
I want to arrange all my photos. i’m not a total digital kind of person. I am hoping to start the new year doing this. #GoodVibesGifting
I’ve been planning to learn to play classical guitar for a while. I had my second child, my son, just 10 months ago. and I work from home. So it’s been a struggle finding extra time. But I plan to start learning in the coming year! #goodvibesgifting
Actually, I was dreaming to be a travel blogger. I came to the U.S. three years ago and my first trip was to see Cherry blossom in D.C. while I was three months pregnancy. My husband and I enjoyed road trips and we had been at 23 U.S. states. Our dream trip is to travel from coast to coast by trains. In reality, my travel plans are held due to I have to care my little girl 24/7 I don’t even have free time to spend on my own. However, there were several great moments that our family spend together. I am looking forward for a right time near future to visit pleasant places in the U.S. with my lovely family. #GoodVibesGifting
I used to write poetry pretty regularly, but since having my two children the writing has been fewer and further occurring. I would love to write more because it is my outlet and what makes me feel like me. #GoodVibesGifting
I like to craft and make wreaths and for a few years my mom has been telling me to make and sell them. I was recently to a little craft party and a vendor came up to me and asked me to sell my stuff at a big fair that weekend. I COULDN’T do it because i only made 4 since i didn’t know how well the would sell, and they all sold. My goal for this year is to put myself out there and make wreaths and sell them and to no let fear hold me back. #goodvibesgifting
I want to write a mystery novel! I’ve started jotting down ideas and writing a few paragraphs but for some reason, I never get much farther than that. Sometimes I fear that I’m not a good enough writer to get my book puBlished, but then I remind myself that it’s more about the writing process Then whether or not my book gets published. It’s about showing myself that I can do it. I hope to spend more time writing when my 4-year-old goes to kindergarden in the fall. Right now I have two littles at home with me and don’t have a lot of time to myself. #goodVIbesgiFting
Painting! I’ve always admired those who could express themselves on canvas. I think I’d be not-very-good at it, but I know that is a poor reason to not start. One day I will. #GoodVibesGifting
