Gingham is a fun pattern for spring so I decided to do a blog post about how to style this simple but yet beautiful fabric from a casual day look to a formal event. Using only one simple tip, changing your accessories to match with your occasion.

I’ve received this gorgeous watch from Welly Merck. It is designed for those who prefer a formal style as well as a casual style. I picked the Classic New York style, it is equipped with 36 millimeters rose gold case. The engineered white dial with a diameter of 34 millimeters reflects subtlety.  What I love about this watch is the interchangeable straps, you can change your straps to match with your look so that every day you’ll have a new look. It’s also such a great investment for your timepiece.

You can visit their website to peek at their collections. If you decided to purchase, Welly Merck has been so kind to all of us. You will receive a 20% discount on your purchase using this code “mollywm” on www.wellymerck.com

Now let’s talk about Gingham, if you don’t know what Gingham is, here I have a short description for you. Gingham is a medium-weight balanced plain-woven fabric made from dyed cotton or cotton-blend yarn. It is known for its checked patterns of white and a bold color. I picked up my Gingham off-the-shoulder dress from an H&M store. I love the puff sleeves and flounced hem design. I have picked some similar dresses for you below.

Gingham can pretty much pair with anything. Here I have created four different looks using a gingham dress and paired it with a variety of accessories, bags, jackets, and shoes.

Bold accessories

In this look I’m showcasing this gingham dress with bold colored accessories. This fun look will be perfect for brunch.

Denim and sneakers

You can pair your gingham dress with a denim jacket and sneakers. Adding some funky and colorful accessories will make this look a little more interesting for a lazy weekend.

Sweeten up with blush and gold

I bought this blush hooded jacket last year and I’ve never worn it. It’s perfect for this gingham dress. I love that when you add blush to black and white patterns, it shows the feminine side of the outfit right away. Some gold accents like this Welly Merck rose gold watch and gold bracelets will help glam out this look. Perfect for a day or night date.

Formal event with classic coat

Simple but yet sophisticated can also dress up with gingham. I coordinated my colors to limit only a few colors in this look. I stuck with black, white, and gold, to make this look not too plain or not too over the top. You can make this look to be more cultivated by choosing a bright color coat like fuchsia but try keeping everything else simple.
